This week we have a former nanny turned in-home preschool owner. Growing up Lauren had always worked with kids as a nanny but never knew she could make this her career. After graduating from the University of Texas, San Antonio with a degree in business marketing Lauren didn't know what she wanted to do with that. She always thought to be successful she had to work in an office. After landing her first office job, she knew pretty fast that this was not the place for her.
The preschool where Lauren was working at the time made an announcement that they were shutting their doors. Lauren knew an office job was not going to be where she ended up. In May 2016, Lauren asked her mom to join her on a new venture, an in-home preschool. She knew of others who were doing this and thought, "if they can do, why can't I?"
Listen in as Lauren takes us along on her journey. We loved this conversation and all the lessons Lauren has learned on her six year journey as a business owner.
